The Clinical Specialist is primarily responsible for driving the sales through our IMR Channel. The Clinical Specialist works closely with the IMR reps to develop sales strategies designed to increase sales in the region and for all product lines while achieving sales objectives. The Clinical Specialist will support various trade shows and key distributor visits. The Clinical Specialist will provide valuable customer feedback to the company’s research and development team as well as the sales and marketing team. We are looking for a Clinical Specialist covering the East Coast of the United States.

Essential Functions

  • Drive the sales of all product lines through our IMR reps
  • Manage the assigned territory and reach quarterly and annual sales targets     
  • Assess the opportunities and propose effective strategies for positioning PMI products within the market
  • Develop IMR specific strategies and work with IMRs to implement those strategies
  • Support the IMR with technical and clinical information, training and support
  • Coach/train distributor sales representatives on our product line
  • Proactively manage customer trials/cases as needed. Enforce demo equipment policy. Work with sales team to manage demo/loaner stock efficiently
  • Work closely with sales/marketing/product team to develop key sales strategies designed to increase sales in all territories and for all product lines
  • Support clinical trials of new products or major conversions
  • Contribute marketing material, technical white papers and clinical application tips
  • Attend exhibitions and relevant local/national meetings and workshops
  • Provide documentation on new customer requirements, clinical issues, product issues, distributor reps visits, customer visits
  • Supports special sales, marketing and management projects
  • Conduct market tours, meeting with end users and distributors to collect market feedback, conduct business planning, make product presentations, troubleshoot and train distributors sales reps
  • Support advisory boards and KOLs
  • Understand and comply with all Company Quality Policies & Procedures

Job Requirements / Specific Experience / Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor of Business or Biomedical Sciences or related field
  • 6–10 years of experience in medical technology sales required
  • Operating Room in Neurosurgery or cervical spine surgery experience
  • Understanding of OR Tables, robotics, neuro navigation, and neurosurgical procedures desirable
  • Knowledge in intraoperative imaging (DSA, CT, MRI) preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong negotiations, analytical and project management skills
  • Excellent ability to ask questions, actively listen, and solve problems
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, strong time management, results focused
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Strong prioritization and ability to manage multiple task at a time
  • Able to lift and carry 55 lbs.
  • Available to travel approximately 75% with overnights
